Galata Business Angels

Galata Business Angels (GBA) is Türkiye's first and leading angel investment network, founded in 2011 and headquartered in Istanbul. It operates as a non-profit association that brings together experienced angel investors and high-potential entrepreneurs to support the growth of early-stage technology startups. The network focuses on identifying startups with strong value propositions, scalable business models, and early traction, and provides capital, mentorship, and access to a wider investor community.

 

GBA invests across a range of digital and innovative sectors, including internet, mobile, software, SaaS, fintech, AI, and other tech-driven businesses, typically at pre-seed and seed stages with ticket sizes often between $25K–$1M. The network has backed over 200 startups since inception and includes experienced founders and executives among its members. GBA also runs curated pitch events such as its Venture Academy to connect founders with investors and supports portfolio startups with mentoring and strategic guidance on growth and scaling.
