Istanbul Development Agency Personal Data Protection Notice
(Information Notice under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data)

As the Istanbul Development Agency (“Agency”), we attach particular importance to the security and lawful processing of personal data. Accordingly, your personal data is processed within the framework of the applicable legislation and in line with the principles outlined below.

Collection, Processing, and Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Within the scope of our activities, your personal data may be collected through automatic or non-automatic means, verbally, in writing, or electronically, via our institutional units, website, mobile applications, social media channels, and during communication with our Agency. Such data may be updated and processed in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the Turkish Law on the Protection of Personal Data (Law No. 6698 – “KVKK”), and where applicable, relevant data protection legislation.

Your personal data is collected and processed for the purposes of enabling the provision of our services, carrying out administrative processes, performing statistical analyses, and ensuring the proper and lawful execution of activities arising from our legal obligations and regulatory framework.

Transfer of Processed Personal Data and Purposes of Transfer

Your personal data may be transferred, within the scope of our institutional policies and service activities, to our domestic and international business partners, project and event stakeholders, suppliers, legally authorized public institutions, and private individuals, in accordance with the conditions and purposes of personal data processing specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.

Rights of Data Subjects under Article 11 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data

Data subjects may submit requests regarding their rights set out under Article 11 of the KVKK by applying to the Agency. Applications shall be responded to free of charge within a maximum of thirty (30) days, depending on the nature and scope of the request. However, if a fee is stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Board, the fee determined by the Agency may be charged.

Applications may be submitted by completing and signing the relevant application form in writing or electronically. Applications may be delivered in person together with documents verifying identity to the Istanbul Development Agency at the address (Asmalı Mescit Mahallesi İstiklal Caddesi No:142, Odakule Kat:6-7-8 Beyoğlu 34430 İstanbul, Türkiye) or sent via the Agency’s Registered Electronic Mail (KEP) address: istka@hs01.kep.tr
