<p>During the "Powerhouse for the Investments in the T&uuml;rkiye Century&rdquo; program, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced a landmark legislative package designed to bolster International Direct Investment (IDI) and transform T&uuml;rkiye into a premier regional magnet for startups and venture capital.</p>
<p>The President emphasized that through upcoming legal, administrative, and financial regulations to be presented to Parliament, T&uuml;rkiye is positioning itself as a "safe heaven" for global capital. These steps are specifically aimed at increasing the country&rsquo;s attraction power for high-tech ventures and international investors.</p>
<h3>Terminal İstanbul: The World&rsquo;s Largest Entrepreneurship Center</h3>
<p>A centerpiece of the President's vision is the transformation of Terminal İstanbul&nbsp;into the world&rsquo;s largest entrepreneurship hub. This project serves as a strategic pillar to:</p>

<li>Foster Innovation:&nbsp;Strengthen T&uuml;rkiye&rsquo;s position in the global tech ecosystem through R&amp;D.</li>
<li>Support Growth:&nbsp;Provide a physical anchor for the "National Technology Initiative" and the growing "Turcorn" (Turkish Unicorn) ecosystem.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Radical Simplification: "Digital Company" and Flexible Funding</h3>
<p>To meet the needs of modern tech entrepreneurs, the President outlined new frameworks for increased agility:</p>

<li>Digital Company Definition:&nbsp;Implementing "extremely easy" company installation processes with fast and flexible administrative cycles.</li>
<li>Convertible Debt Mechanisms:&nbsp;Introducing legal frameworks for debt-to-equity instruments, allowing startups to secure funding more efficiently.</li>
<li>Engineering &amp; Software Exemptions:&nbsp;A total tax exemption for engineering and software services provided to clients located abroad.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Key Regulatory Incentives for Investors and Talent</h3>
<p>The President detailed specific financial advantages designed to attract global liquidity and specialized talent to T&uuml;rkiye:</p>

<li>20-Year Tax Holiday:&nbsp;Individuals who have not been tax residents in T&uuml;rkiye for the last three years will be exempt from taxes on their foreign-sourced income for 20 years&nbsp;upon moving to the country.</li>
<li>Employee Stock Options:&nbsp;Strong incentives for company share options, enabling startups to attract and retain top-tier talent.</li>
<li>100% Transit Trade Deduction:&nbsp;The deduction rate for earnings generated from transit trade or intermediation for goods sold abroad will be increased to 100%.</li>
<li>Asset Repatriation:&nbsp;Streamlined mechanisms to bring foreign-held cash, gold, and securities into the economy with minimal taxation.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Strategic Stability for Global Capital</h3>
<p>President Erdoğan highlighted that despite global security crises, T&uuml;rkiye remains an "island of stability." By aligning legal frameworks with the requirements of the modern entrepreneurship ecosystem, the government aims to create a predictable and agile environment for both early-stage ventures and seasoned international investors.</p>
<p>"We are taking the legal, administrative, and financial steps to support international direct investments," the President stated, reinforcing T&uuml;rkiye's role as a vital bridge for global commerce and innovation.</p>
